I have acquired the Meteor hanging lamp, by Royal, does anyone know
where I may find additional information as to history and parts
available?

Gerry: "Royal" is a Plume and Atwood burner Tradename.
The Royal burner uses a wick that is still available, and a
standard #2 or #3 chimney. I couln't find reference to
"Meteor" in the one P&A catalogue I have, but it is
likely the Trade name of the lamp assembly. As I recall, the
Royal burner presents some challenge in installing the wick, but
once replaced (assuming all the "innards" holding it in
place and allowing adjustment are there, the lamp should burn OK.
I believe I had to thin the wick somewhat by removing vertical
threads until it easily cleared the space allowed (the modern
wicks are thicker than the old ones). :: Fil Graff ::
