
Double Chimney burner [INDEX: Shaffer burner?]

Sorry to bother you like this but I have an oil lamp that is shaped
like a coronet and requires a double chimney.
No one has any idea
of where the lamp is from or where I can get a replacement
chimney.
If you have the time could you possibly help?

Donna: A "double chimney?" No wonder folks are baffled! I will
definately need an image before I'll venture a guess. If you can
provide any markings on the burner, that would help. You might have a
two-cone Shaffer burner from the late 1880's and 90's...two wicks and
deflector cones on the same "platform"...they take ONE chimney: the
later versions a standard (either #1 or #2) slip chimney, the earlier
ones a "lip" chimney (held in place by a set screw, rather than
crown-like prongs). I'm going to post this on the Q&A Page so it
