Oil Lamp (pressed vs. cut glass)

I was wondering if you could help me identify an oil lamp that has
been in our family for at least 65 years. I am attaching a photo that
may help you. The lamp is square made of heavy clear glass. It seems
to be cut glass as there appears no seams but some small bubbles can
be seen in the glass. Height is 18" with chimney and it weighs about
5 pounds without the oil. Can you give us an estimate on its age,
manufacture, pattern name and approx. value. There appears to be no
names or marks on it. Maybe you could send us the email address of
someone who might know these things if you are not sure. Thank you,
Robert Faires

Robert: I'd guess NOT cut glass. Itlooks like a fairly typical
Pressed Pattern Glass lamp from around the turnof the century. "Flat
wicks" aren't really my bag, but the image should make identification
fairly easy. It appears to be in the same design family as the
Princess Feather. :: Fil ::

This question was also posted on the Aladdin Knights Bulletin Board,
where the lamp was identified (listed Truro II, p 124).
