I work for the Historical Society of Delaware. I am the
director at the Read House & Gardens in New Castle, De., one of
several sites the Society owns. We are looking for reproduction
Argand lamps. The house has been furnished according to very
extensive inventories and we need two pairs of Argand lamps. We
would love it if they worked but if they don't that's
okay too. Monticello used to have them in their catalog but they
have stopped carrying them, evidently there was a problem with
leaking.
Sincerely, Denise
Guild Response
Denise: We don't deal in reproductions (SHUDDER!), but I
will post your question on the Guild Home Page Q&A section;
perhaps someone may have a source for you.

Follow up
Hi Fil, yes I know your shuddering, but we are
implementing a program both for adult and children, where
we discuss lighting history and we would like something
that we can actually light, that we know will be in good
working order. As a non-profit it would be impossible for
us to assume the cost of overhauling an antique Argand.
Thanks for all the help.
Denise
