Sunbeam-Vera burner

Another burner from my "Whatsis?" collection. Photographed at the
Aladdin gathering. SIDE draft, multipart burner, 2 FW(R), completely
held together with spring clips. Patented Dec 3 1889. According to
Herb Leflet's book, both Frank Rhind (Pat 416237) and one E.B. Requa
(Pat 416183) had wick raiser patents that day. This is an extremely
complex item, and the "easier-made, the cheaper the price" maxim
would lead me to believe it wasn't much of a success (but THAT maxim
failed me completely with the Electric Argand!) Anyone have one of
these? Or know anymore about it? It's one I didn't buy (likely should
have!)

Heinz responded that he owns a "Vera", and that the Patent is Frank
Rhind's, for the wick shaft arrangement.
