& ANSWER Page is the center of activity on the site. A first stop at the ARCHIVES may give
an answer to many questions. A wealth of information from past questions (searchable) is
maintained. You might want to check the Hotlink "Basics" at the bottom of the page. It links to several early technical documents on lighting basics (easy PDF downloads). A new file from a German text was added Dec 5, 2007. There are now 5 text pdfs. LAMP CLUBS provides direct links to the websites of a large variety of International Lighting study groups. These are not commercial endorsements, just a listing of capable friends. October, 2006: a supplier of new-made replacement flamespreaders has been added. And in April, 2007, a second flamespreader maker was added! December, 2006: a large German pressure lamp dealer, a large Swedish pressure lamp concern, and a Swedish lampmaker have been added. LAMP TERM DICTIONARY and GERMAN LAMP TERMS IN ENGLISH are two very useful pages for simple definition of terms. A good place to start when you're not really sure what words apply to what you have.
